Welcome to the very first RCPA conference. Our theme – A New CommonWealth – is focused on the uniting of the two former associations (PCPA and PARF) and the goals of increasing presence, leverage, power, and value. Energized by activities taking place in our work together, the theme highlights the wealth of knowledge, influence, advocacy, and passion of our members to serve people across Pennsylvania created by this collaboration.
The ever-changing health care environment continues to be a challenge. With the impact of the federal Accountable Care Act law growing, it is more important than ever for members to leverage their personal and professional skills to remain inspired to create the innovative and integrative changes necessary for people to transform and grow. Join us for learning and networking opportunities as we seek to improve the business of caring for and working with persons with rehabilitation needs, mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and developmental/intellectual disabilities.
Conference will provide you with educational opportunities, information, and experiences integral to your work. Our robust agenda brings ample opportunities to learn and relax, with days full of stellar speakers to offer a variety of stimulating and timely information. The conference begins on Tuesday with workshops, a plenary on legal developments in state government, and the Director’s Welcome Reception in the evening. The week concludes with New York Times bestselling author Luis Carlos Montalván and service dog Tuesday, who will share their story of recovery from physical and behavioral health traumas. In between are more than 50 workshops; a keynote from Paul H. Keckley, PhD, health economist; a vibrant Exhibit Hall; networking events; time to relax and interact with colleagues; and opportunities for creative thinking to inspire your passion to create change.
We look forward to having you at conference. We offer special thanks also to our sponsors, exhibitors, advertisers, and presenters, whose support makes this event possible. With all of you, this year’s conference is sure to be a success. See you at Seven Springs!
