FASD Awareness Week Press Release

August 15, 2007

Press releases can be a simple and effective way to market an agency and announce important events. A well-written press release will educate the public and cast a favorable light on an agency. And best of all, it is free!

PCPA has drafted a press release regarding FASD Awareness Week, held the week of September 9. Its goal is to educate the public about the dangers of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and notify them of the FASD Awareness Week. Instead of sending this press release directly to news outlets, PCPA is sending it to members as a membership benefit. Members are encouraged to make customizations to the release and forward it on agency letterhead to local newspapers.

PCPA recommends the following changes:

This press release is for members. You are encouraged to customize it. Contact information for news outlets can be obtained by contacting PCPA Membership and Marketing Coordinator Steve Neidlinger (steve@paproviders.org or 717-364-3280). A Word copy of the press release for easier editing is also available from Neidlinger. PCPA hopes that this press release will help to make local communities aware of member agencies and the important services provided.
