DPW to Fund Rural Autism Services

May 23, 2006

The Department of Public Welfare (DPW) has issued a request for proposals seeking providers to develop and implement autism service models for children and adolescents in rural Pennsylvania. The department will fund several programs that hold the promise of improving assessment and intervention services. The state is seeking programs that will operate across service systems and offer a range of levels of care. One area of practice development the grant hopes to support is the use of telemedicine and video conferencing as part of the assessment and service delivery structure. A copy of the request for proposals is available from the link above. The deadline for submission of proposals is June 23.
