Exhibitors

PCPA extends thanks to the exhibitors of the 2010 conference, without whose support the program could not be undertaken. Information about supporting vendors is available on their web sites, linked from PCPA's Virtual Exhibit Hall. Make sure you take time to visit Exhibit Hall during conference to learn about valuable tools and resources available for your organization!

Exhibit Hall

PCPA’s Exhibit Hall is exciting and full of action! Exhibitors from around the country are on hand to discuss services and products to help you on your road to success. Exhibit Hall is open Wednesday evening, October 12, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 13, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. PCPA exhibitors, in addition to offering information and resources, provide significant financial support for the conference which helps the association keep registration costs affordable for guests.

In addition to a multitude of vendors displaying services and products to enhance the services you provide and the agencies you serve, the Conference Committee has planned special events in the hall.

Morning Coffee Breaks
October 12 – 14, 8:00 a.m.

On Thursday morning coffee and tea is available in Exhibit Hall beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Wednesday and Friday morning coffee breaks are in the Convention Hall lobby near Stag Pass. The registration booth is staffed when the hall is open, as is the Continuing Education registration table. PCPA extends thanks to Value Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, Trafford, for sponsoring a coffee break.

Hat RackGrand Prize: Fill a Hat Rack!

By successfully “filling a hat rack,” participants are eligible to participate in the grand prize drawing. The winner will be announced on Friday morning at the start of the plenary. All game cards must be turned in by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. PCPA thanks Gateway Rehabilitation Center, Pittsburgh, for its sponsorship of the grand prize - $1,000 in airline travel good anywhere Southwest Airlines flies.

Assure that you have contact information for vendors with whom you are interested in discussing business before the hall closes for the last time.

The PAC Is Back!

The GRI© Alumni Network is active at conference raising money to support the Pennsylvania Community Providers Political Action Committee (PCP PAC). Look for network members to be selling PACPot tickets in Exhibit Hall and during group gatherings and join in the Silent Scramble on Wednesday and Thursday.

Silent Scramble
Taking place within Exhibit Hall the Silent Scramble allows guests to participate in an auction to support the PCP PAC by purchasing tickets and placing them in drawing contention for items in the auction. Tickets are sold at a fixed price. You can use your tickets at your discretion, placing all of them in the running for one item or distributing them among several! Ticket holders are required to retain half of each ticket so the winner can be identified during the prize giveaway. Winners will be announced during the Snack Break & Prize Giveaway in Exhibit Hall on Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Tickets are drawn until a winner is selected for each item – you need to be in the hall to claim your prize!PAC Tickets

PACPot
Excitement about the GRI Alumni Network PACPot continues in 2011! Tickets are sold by network members at a price per ticket or a fixed number of tickets at a fixed price in Exhibit Hall and at the Association Luncheon & Awards Recognition. The winning ticket is drawn at the close of Thursday’s Snack Break and Prize Giveaway in Exhibit Hall. The winner receives 40 percent of the PACPotand the remaining 60 percent is deposited to the PAC account. Plan ahead to participate!

Bowling Tournament
The GRI Network bowling tournament raises money to support the Pennsylvania Community Providers PAC. The minimum entry fee is $40 for single bowlers or $100 for teams of three. Everyone must register with Anne Leisure at PCPA by September 10. Individual bowlers will be placed in teams; so if you want to bowl but don’t have your own team, register and one will be formed for you! Teams may pay the registration fee as individuals (which counts as a PAC contribution), but are encouraged to obtain sponsorships from staff, colleagues, and friends. A sponsorship donation can be any amount and can be accepted via personal check or credit card by the PAC.

The single elimination tournament is on Thursday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. All teams compete at the same time with the winning team from each game advancing to the next round. The championship match between the final two teams is the last game of the evening prior to the barbecue. Everyone is welcome at the tournament to cheer on the bowlers. Come join the fun as a bowler or the audience and support the PAC!

All proceeds from activities support the PCP PAC and its work for members in state and local government.
