Cheryl Williams reported at the June 17 Drug and Alcohol Committee meeting that the Division of Drug and Alcohol Licensure is in the process of rewriting the Interpretive Guidelines for the Staffing Regulations and the Physical Plant Regulations. Apparently there has been some confusion about both sets of regulations and where there have been ambiguities they are attempting to make them clearer. The regulations are not being revised, however the interpretive guidelines have historically been very important.
If you have experienced problems with either set of regulations now is the time to discuss areas that may be open to interpretation and need clarification.
