The ban on the receipt of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and Food Stamps by individuals with a felony drug conviction is being eliminated. Act 44, which was signed by the governor on December 23, 2003, removes this ban. The change will take effect February 21. The Office of Income Maintenance sent out the policy clarification on January 14. If you have any questions please contact Lynn Cooper at the Association.
