The GRI Alumni Network invites you to bowl with us during the PCPA conference at Seven Springs in October! When is the last time you went bowling? It’s is a great way to get together with friends and colleagues to relax and socialize. This is the opportunity to join in the fun and help advance PCPA legislative goals at the same time. This tournament is not about skill level, but about having a great time together and raising money for PCPA’s Political Action Committee (PAC). Just by entering, you make a difference!
The Tournament
The single-elimination tournament will start with establishing teams and lane times. Teams may bowl on Monday or Tuesday. Team scores during games are totaled and given to Anne Leisure. Two finalists (the teams with the highest scores) participate in a championship game Tuesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
Participation and Fundraising
The minimum entry fee is $40/individual registration or $100/team registration (team of three). Everyone must register with Ms. Leisure via email by September 15. Individual registrants will be placed in teams; so if you wish to participate but cannot form a team, register and one will be formed for you! Teams may pay the registration fee as individual members (which counts as a PAC contribution), but are encouraged to obtain sponsorships from staff, colleagues, family, friends, etc. A sponsorship donation can be any amount and can be accepted via personal check or credit card by the PAC. Individual cash donations not exceeding $100 each are also acceptable. A bowling tournament sponsorship form is attached.
The Network
Established in 2003, the GRI© Alumni Network is comprised of graduates from the Government Relations Institute (GRI) offered annually by the association. The network, currently chaired by Lisa Basci of Community Services Group, assists the Legislative Affairs Committee in organizing and hosting legislatively-themed events, fundraising for the political action committee (PAC), and serving as PCPA’s grassroots network on a variety of topics.
