The Department of Public Welfare Bureau of Autism Services has announced the availability of scholarships for interested behavioral health service providers, including mobile therapists, behavior specialist consultants, therapeutic support staff, and case managers. The scholarships will cover conference fees and hotel accommodations for the five-day conference. The tenth annual national autism conference is July 30 - August 3 at the Penn State University Conference Center. Scholarships cover the cost of the conference and on-campus accommodations for the week. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion applicable to the department’s training requirements. The deadline for scholarship applications is May 15. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than June 30 by email. Applications are available on Bureau of Autism web site at www.dpw.state.pa.us/disable/autismservices/autismnews/default.htm.
