ONC Security Training Game Available
The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) has released its first web-based security training module, “CyberSecure: Your Medical Practice.” The security training module uses a game format requiring users to respond to privacy and security challenges found in a small medical practice. Gamers choosing the right response earn points and see their virtual medical practices flourish. Gamers who make wrong security decisions can hurt the virtual practices. The game was developed with the assistance of the Regional Extension Center Program's Privacy and Security Community of Practice. The security training game can be accessed at www.healthit.gov/providers-professionals/privacy-security-training-games.
