PCPA has discussed the status of the 2% cost-of-living-allowance (COLA) with
the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) regarding drug and alcohol (D&A)
programs.
According to DOH, the funding will continue to flow from the state to the respective Single County Authorities (SCAs). The basic distribution of the 2% COLA funds will be based on current SCA allocations. DOH is in the midst of amending contracts with the SCAs to reflect the 2% COLA.
SCAs should be receiving notification letters regarding specific allocations and the exact formula used for arriving at the individual amounts within the next several months.
