Governor Edward G. Rendell will deliver his 2006/07 budget address to a joint session of the General Assembly today. PCPA will conduct its annual initial budget review this evening, including charts breaking down budget line items in various programs and narrative from both the governor’s address and Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Secretary Estelle Richman’s budget briefing. Select offices within state departments will conduct budget briefings throughout February and March and legislative budget hearings will convene during this time. Further information will be shared with members as it is available.
In anticipation of heightened legislative activity in coming months, PCPA reminds members that a number of Internet resources are available in the Legislative Affairs section. It may be helpful for members to take a moment and familiarize themselves with several changes made recently to the site – or access it for the first time – before searching for something particular.
