PCPA’s annual Capitol Day is June 5 in Harrisburg. Members, consumers, clients, and PCPA friends are encouraged to participate in this annual and signature PCPA legislative event. On this day each year, PCPA provides a focus in the state Capitol regarding behavioral health and mental retardation issues.

More information will be shared by PCPA each week. To date, the following details have been established:

• Check-in and walk-in registration will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the PCPA table in the Capitol Rotunda.
• One educational packet will be available for delivery to each legislator. The packets will include such information as PCPA’s 2007/08 budget position, PCPA’s input regarding any Pennsylvania-based universal health care plan, dedicated alcohol tax legislation and talking points, and the increased need for access to and affordability of care.
• PCPA, known for its delivery of Community Services Group baked goods, will again have items available for delivery to legislators.
• A press conference featuring legislative supporters will convene in the Main Rotunda
  at 12:00 p.m.
