The Office of Mental Retardation (OMR) recently presented a list of bulletins and regulations that are in progress. The bulletins include:
- Seclusions and Restraint - on hold pending review and analysis of Incident Management reports on restraints
- Health Care Quality Unit (HCQU)/Health Risk Profile (HRP) - under development
- PA Protection and Advocacy Bulletin - revised draft sent to PP&A
- Reporting and Investigations Related to OAPSA - met with Aging to discuss common form
- HealthChoices and Waiver Payments - OMAP developing a "services and payment" chart to attach
- Provider Appeals - scheduling meeting with Bureau of Hearings and Appeals to discuss
- Intermediary Service Organizations (ISOs) - Collecting comments until 12/20/02. A revised draft will follow.
Early Intervention Regulations were printed in the Pennsylvania Bulletin on 11/21/02. The Adult and Adolescent Adult Day Programs regulations, resulting from the cross-systems regulations process, still exist and were reviewed 12/9/02 by a small group of stakeholders. (It is still hoped that this process will end and that OMR will be able to proceed with regulatory processes that address changes proposed within the Transformation Process.)
