Kimes Begins Tenure as PCPA Exec

June 1, 2000

The PCPA Board and staff officially welcome George Kimes to his new role as Executive Director of the Association today. Kimes, replacing Ray Webb, Jr., steps into the Association from a long-term role as the Executive Director of Adams-Hanover Counseling Services, Inc. in Hanover, PA.

Long involved with the Association, Kimes was the president of PCPA in 1990, has served on several committees, chaired the Annual Conference Committee, and in 1999 received the President's Award for his continued service and dedication to the organization.

Mr. Kimes is a graduate of Eastern College and completed his graduate education in psychology at the University of Kansas. Besides his responsibilities at Adams-Hanover Counseling Services for the past 18 years and his work with PCPA, Kimes has been a key contributor to PCPA's sister organization, the Community Behavioral Healthcare Network of Pennsylvania (CBHNP). He helped found CBHNP and has served as a board member since its inception.

On arrival Kimes commented that he was "pleased to be here and looking forward to working with members who do what I used to do." He can be reached at the PCPA office by e-mail (george@paproviders.org) or phone (717-657-7078).
