Leisure Joins PCPA as Director of Legislative Affairs

PCPA is pleased to announce the hiring of Anne McHugh Leisure as the association’s director of legislative affairs.

Executive Director George Kimes noted he was pleased to have Leisure join the staff. "I have known Anne for several years and have been impressed with her skills and knowledge. I look forward to her joining us and becoming an important part of the team. She will work closely with our Legislative Affairs Committee, our contract lobbyist Morgan Plant, and with PCPA staff." Kimes continued, adding he believed Leisure "will be a valuable asset for the association and for our members."

Leisure joins PCPA having worked most recently at the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of PA (HAP). At HAP for 5 years, she served as the director of health care finance policy, as well as representing HAP on the Medical Assistance Advisory Committee. She was also the lead staff for HAP‘s Council for Behavioral Health Providers, representing many of the hospital-based inpatient behavioral health providers. Other job related experience includes working in state government and with a lobbying/consulting group. Leisure holds the Masters in Health Administration from Pennsylvania State University.
