The Association is seeking a key employee to fill the vacant Mental Health Policy Specialist position. Operating out of the Harrisburg office, this individual will provide leadership and technical support in the Mental Health Services arena.Sample of duties to include:
- Research, analyze, and respond to legislation, regulation, and other policy influencing documents and activities in the designated service area.
- Prepare position papers, written analyses, alerts, informational pieces, newsletter articles, and other written documents pertinent to the dissemination of policy information in the designated service area.
- Research and respond to member requests regarding services.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with related organizations, associations, agencies, elected officials, administration personnel, and other policy makers, as appropriate, in an effort to work cooperatively in furthering PCPA goals.
- Serve as staff liaison to the designated board committees.
- Represent the Association at various meetings, committees, and work groups.
