PCPA has been working since January to identify problematic regulations and standards. The work is in response to several discussions where officials from the Department of Public Welfare have requested that providers identify regulations that hinder good care. A survey of members was developed and responses submitted. Additionally, numerous problems were reported at the recent PCPA committee meetings. The latest draft of the compilation is available from the link. The document is lengthy, but please don’t let that stop you from taking some time to review what is listed and provide input. The document requires legal size paper for printing. Also available from the link is a copy of the original survey. This is an opportunity for providers to report the many problematic regulations that have been complained about for years.Please use the blank response form (available in Microsoft Excel format from the link) and submit any additional problematic regulations you feel pertinent, as well as any recommendations for the current summary.
