The MH/MR Coalition’s Working Together Campaign has prepared the March Update to be shared with providers, staff, and legislators. The message to the governor is clear, “ We call upon Governor Rendell and the Pennsylvania General Assembly to address the unfunded costs of these essential services as what they are: part of the Commonwealth’s structural budget deficit, because consumers with mental illness and mental retardation and their families deserve better.”
The coalition is forwarding the update to the General Assembly along with the overview of Five Good Reason for a FY05 Cost-of-Living Adjustment for Community-Based Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Drug and Alcohol Programs.
