Community Film Screening of "BULLY"
March 26, 2014

The Highmark Foundation, the Center for Safe Schools, and the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention are inviting providers, families, and the public to a free community film screening of "BULLY" and post-viewing discussion facilitated by bullying prevention experts. This 45-minute documentary is designed to promote awareness about bullying issues. Directed by Lee Hirsch, "BULLY" follows two students and their families over the course of a school year. It has been edited and does not include the more controversial material found in the theatrical release.

Bullying is a widespread problem that includes and affects all; whether victims, perpetrators, or silent bystanders. This film event aims to be a catalyst for change in the way adults deal with bullying as parents, families, teachers, and all who work with youth. Pennsylvania bullying prevention experts will offer additional insights and solutions.
