DPW Bulletin Guides Complex Case Planning
December 29, 2010

The Department of Public Welfare (DPW) has developed a bulletin for the department, county agencies, providers, family and youth advocacy organizations, managed care organizations, and others involved in case planning for children/youth up to age 21 with complex issues. The bulletin is designed to guide the development of a comprehensive and effective cross-system plan for identifying, securing, and funding a complex service plan. The bulletin creates a uniform structure for county agencies, DPW regional offices, and DPW program office leaders in the formation of a “Complex Case Team” made up of key representatives from the department, county agencies, managed care organizations, providers, and family members. The bulletin 00-10-02, Complex Case Planning is available for review and download from the PCPA web site.
