PCCD Grants for Delinquency Diversion

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) has announced the availability of up to $2 million in grants targeted in support of juvenile court diversion services. Information regarding application for the grants is available on the PCCD web site.

The goals of the grants are to develop and implement a formal protocol to support diversion of appropriate youth from formal juvenile courts process or enhance the equality of existing pre-adjudication diversion policies and practices. Proposed projects must be consistent with the Pre-adjudication Diversion Principles that have been endorsed by PCPA and available on the PCPA and PCCD web sites. Eligible entities include non-profit human service and mental health agencies; county agencies, including juvenile justice and child welfare providers; and school districts. The deadline for grant applications is March 18.
