Early Childhood MH Capacity Assessed
July 8, 2010

The Department of Public Welfare (DPW) is assessing the level of early childhood mental health (MH) service needs and capacity across the state. To accomplish this, DPW has launched a survey to help the department gague what types of treatment and services are currently available for children under the age of five. Children’s community mental health providers are strongly encouraged to complete this survey. The survey is available at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22AUM8BABGH.

This information will assist DPW in planning for the possible expansion of services. Please be sure to answer the questions both for children under age three and for those between the ages of three and five. Remember to select "Submit" after you finish answering the questions on each screen. This takes the respondent to the next round of questions. If difficulties are encountered, please contact Angie Logan (anglogan@state.pa.us).
