Integrated Care Post-Doctoral Opportunity
October 29, 2014

The Geisinger Health System is inviting applicants for full-time post-doctoral fellowship positions in integrated pediatric primary care within the Division of Psychiatry. The positions  begin July 1 (can be delayed until September 1) and are for one year. Fellows selected will participate in implementation of an integrated care model by working in one of three primary care clinics in the Geisinger system. This innovative program involves providing direct services to children, adolescents, and families; consulting with primary care providers; education and training of primary care providers; and program evaluation/research. Fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in a specialty clinic experience in one of the following areas: pediatric sleep, autism, or child abuse. While the positions are primarily clinical in nature, fellows will be involved in outcomes research. Fellows will also have opportunity to be involved in presentations at national conferences and assist in peer-reviewed manuscript submissions. Candidates do not need to be seeking research careers to qualify.

Clinical, school, or counseling PhD or PsyD and completion of an American Psychological Association accredited internship with relevant experience is required. Salary and benefits are competitive. Geisinger is a well-respected hospital/trauma center located in a low-stress, rural area within a three hour drive of New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore. Applications received by December 15 will be given priority. Timely applications are encouraged; interviews will be offered to qualified candidates and are planned for January 2015. Interested individuals may send a detailed letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference to Debbie Hess, Attn: Pediatric PCBH Postdoc Search, Geisinger Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry, MC 13-35, Danville, PA 17822 or dhess@geisinger.edu.
