PCCD Evidence-Based Program Grants

The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) has issued a funding announcement for evidence-based violence prevention programs. PCCD has allocated $1.3 million for the implementation or expansion of the following programs:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of America,
  • Life Skills Training,
  • Olweus Bullying Prevention Programs,
  • Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies,
  • The Incredible Years,
  • Strengthening Families Program 10-14, and
  • Aggression Replacement Training.

Applications will be accepted from county agencies and private providers in the community as well as other local government groups. Details about the grant are available. Due to the highly competitive nature of these grants, PCCD program staff will not be able to answer questions about how an applicant should respond to any particular section of the application. Questions regarding the grant process must be sent by email to Wendy Poston (wposton@state.pa.us). Interested applicants may register any time after May 9 by providing an email address to Ms. Poston. Registration will remain open until 4:00 p.m. June 6. Questions concerning the Egrants System should be made directly to the Egrants Help Desk (717-787-5887 or 800-692-7292).
