SBBH Provider Survey: What Makes Collaboration Work?
January 25, 2012

PCPA invites community behavioral health agencies providing school based behavioral health (SBBH) services to participate in a study examining collaboration in school mental health. The survey instrument was developed based on input from school and community professionals affiliated with the national Center for School Mental Health and Pennsylvania State University. The goal of the study is to establish practical guidance for improving partnership effectiveness and strengthen collaboration between school professionals and mental health agencies. The study collects information about SBBH provider perceptions of what facilitates or impedes collaboration, key collaborative activities, and the benefits of this practice strategy. Because of their low representation in the literature on school-mental health collaboration, community mental health professionals are especially encouraged to participate.

Participate by completing the survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/communityprofessionals. It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The deadline is January 30. The survey author invites participants to enter a drawing to win one of 50 $15 Starbucks gift certificates. Questions may be directed to Elizabeth Mellin (814-863-2414 or eam20@psu.edu).
