SWPBS Implementers Forum
March 14, 2011

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Bureau of Special Education has announced plans for the first annual Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Supports Implementers' Forum:  Going to Scale with Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS). This two-day conference is sponsored by PDE with support from the member agencies of Pennsylvania's State Leadership Team for School Based Behavioral Health.

The forum is May 18 –19 at the Best Western Premier Central Hotel & Conference Center, Harrisburg, PA (formerly the Four Points Sheraton).

The forum is designed for stakeholders interested in emotional support programs for children and youth with disabilities and vested in the implementation of school- or program-wide PBIS.  It will provide participants with information about initiating, expanding, and sustaining PBIS. The forum will bring together district and school-level leadership teams; educators, including early childhood educators, school administrators, and behavioral specialists (school counselors, school psychologists, special educators, and mental health providers) interested in emotional support programs. Register online by visiting www.pattan.net and entering the Registration page. For registration information contact Patty Panuccio (800-446-5607, x6841 or ppanuccio@pattan.net).
