Grant to Reduce Underage Drinking

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) will soon post the 2013-2015 PLCB grant application for programs to Reduce Underage and Dangerous Drinking. The application is anticipated the first week of January 2013. Grant funds will be available to community organizations, colleges and universities, schools, municipalities, and law enforcement to develop and/or maintain environmental management and other proven prevention strategies to reduce underage and dangerous drinking.

  • The application is expected in early January.
  • The deadline will be early February. The PLCB is moving to a two-year grant cycle.
  • The maximum amount an applicant may apply for is $20,000 per year, with a maximum total of $40,000. 
  • Two letters of support will be mandatory and should be from organizations or agencies that will be involved in the implementation of the proposed grant activities. These letters must state how the supporting agency or institution will work with the applicant to achieve the goals of the grant.
  • Further information will be included in the application and the instructions.

The Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs suggests that interested organizations “like us on Facebook” by searching PA Alcohol Education to receive current grant information.
