Behavioral Health/Physical Health Integration Models
The Office of Mental health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) Think Tank on Physical Health and Behavioral Health Integration needs PCPA member input. Representatives from major stakeholder groups, including PCPA, participate in the think tank. One of the think tank subcommittees is charged with identifying models of integration currently in use across the commonwealth. A schematic indicating categories of integration, from very loose interaction through co-location, is available. The subcommittee will complete an inventory of models in use in Pennsylvania and highlight some of the innovative approaches. Members that have developed a model that should be included in the inventory are asked to complete the Physical Health/Behavioral Health Continuum PA Projects form and return it to Scot Benoit by August 20.  Thank you in advance for your help with this project.

Health Care Recovery Implementation Committee
At the joint Mental Health/Children’s Committee meeting August 4, PCPA members expressed interest in the Health Care Reform Advisory Committee. The committee’s work is critical to reform efforts in Pennsylvania. Meetings are open to the public under provisions of the Sunshine Act, 65 PA CS §§ 701 - 716.The next meeting of the Health Care Reform Advisory Committee is August 25, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., in Hearing Room 3 of the Keystone Building, 400 North St, Harrisburg.
