Comment on HHS Strategic Plan
September 10, 2013

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) draft strategic plan for 2014 – 2018 is available for review and comment. The plan is crafted every four years to develop goals, set objectives, guide attainment of the objectives, and measurement of progress. Goals and objectives must be congruent with Government Performance and Results Modernization Act reporting requirements and goals of the administration. The strategic plan is developed with input from Congress and external parties that include providers, state and local governments, affected individuals, and others. Comments may be submitted by October 15 online, by email, fax (202-690-8252), or by US mail to:

US Department of Health and Human Services
Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation

The four chapters identified in the plan represent strategic goals. Each chapter includes objectives and primary strategies to reach objectives. The appendices describe the organizational structure of HHS. Interested members are requested to review the plan and provide comment to HHS. RCPA would appreciate a copy of comments submitted.
