NAMI PA and POMP Hold Awards Dinner
May 16, 2007

NAMI Pennsylvania (PA) and the Peace of Mind Project (POMP) are sponsoring the first annual awards affair "honoring those who educate, advocate, support, and act to insure a better life for those who suffer from mental illness and their families." The master of ceremonies for the Families in Recovery-Role of Fathers Awards Dinner is Martin Sheen. Honorees include Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy; Senator Edward M. Kennedy; President Janet N. Vergis, Janssen, LP; and Dr. Claudia M. Roth, President of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. The dinner and silent auction to benefit NAMI PA and POMP is scheduled June 15, 6:00 p.m., at the Loews Hotel in Philadelphia. Black tie is optional. NAMI PA and POMP seek support for their efforts toward passage of insurance parity legislation for behavioral health. More information about the event, silent auction donations, and sponsorship opportunities are included in the PDF attachment below. MS Word copies of the attachment are also available from Betty Simmonds. Please address any questions about this event to NAMI PA at 800-223-0500.
