Archived SAMHSA PH-BH Grant Webinar Available

In a May 4 Info PCPA distributed information about a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Request for Applications (RFA) for projects to coordinate and integrate services through co-location of primary and specialty medical services in community mental and behavioral health settings. RFA SM-12-08, Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration Grant (PBHCI) is intended to improve the health status of persons with serious mental illnesses with, or at risk of chronic diseases, through development of health homes that link medical care, behavioral health care, dental care, and community-based services and supports. Thirty-two awards of up to $400,000 per year for up to four years will be awarded. Pre-application webinars were scheduled May 7 and 10. The first webinar is now archived and available for review on the SAMHSA web sitePowerPoint slides for the webinar are also available. At the time of this writing SAMHSA planned to make the second webinar available, but was having technical difficulty with the recording. Grant applications are due June 8.
