University of Pittsburgh Schedules Raymond R. Webb, Jr. Lecture

Dr. Alice K. Butterfield, professor, Jane Addams College of Social Work, University of Illinois at Chicago, will present International Higher Education Partnerships for Place-Based Community Development: Lessons from a Social Work Education Partnership in Ethiopia as the 2010 Raymond R. Webb, Jr. Lecture of the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work. The lecture is April 14 from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. in Room 2017, Cathedral of Learning. Lunch will be provided and registration is not required. Address questions about the lecture to the School of Social Work at 412-624-6300.

Since the inaugural lecture in September 2007 the University of Pittsburgh, School of Social Work has presented a lecture each year in honor of Raymond R. Webb, Jr., who received a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1963. The lecture and reception honor Ray Webb and celebrate his passion for developing leadership in public welfare. He served as executive director of PCPA for almost 10 years.
