OMAP Deputy Secretary Appointed

The Department of Public Welfare (DPW) has announced the appointment of Mike Nardone as acting deputy secretary for the Office of Medical Assistance Programs (OMAP) effective February 5. Mr. Nardone is currently executive director of the Long-Term Living Council, with responsibility for integrated policy and planning across multiple departments for long-term living initiatives. A primary focus of his work with the council was establishing means to balance institutional and home and community-based services for long-term care and services. Prior to this, Nardone served as executive deputy secretary for DPW where he focused on reform in the Medical Assistance Program, integrated children’s services, and enhanced development of community-based mental health and mental retardation services. PCPA is pleased to continue working with Mr. Nardone in this new capacity.
