Provider Enrollment Clarification

On April 9 PCPA published PROMISe Update #04-04. Further information has been obtained regarding the provider enrollment process. In the update, PCPA wrote

“…for some services [a provider’s] enrollment application can be sent through PCPA to the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS) who will process them. These services are Intensive Case Management (ICM), Resource Coordination (RC), Family Based Mental Health Services (FBMHS), Crisis, or any supplemental service in HealthChoices...

“To enroll ICM, RC, FBMHS, Crisis, and HealthChoices supplemental services, complete the appropriate form from the OMAP web site and fax it to 717-657-3552, attn: Rebecca May Cole. PCPA will only accept enrollment applications from its members at this time.”

PCPA would like to inform members that although submitting enrollment applications through PCPA will speed up the processing time, all required licensing and funding information must be provided. PCPA’s involvement by forwarding the information to OMHSAS is not intended to bypass any of the requirements for enrollment. When OMHSAS receives the information, they will verify that all information is included and will coordinate the enrollment process with the field office.
