IDD Updates - Week of April 16, 2012

Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) Deputy Secretary Friel has indicated it will be another two weeks before the state-set fee schedule rates for all services except residential and transportation trip will be released. ODP anticipates sending a communication this week regarding this delay. If PCPA learns more details they will be shared.

ODP recently released announcements available at www.odpconsulting.net:

  • Informational Memo #028-12: Enhancements to HCSIS Incident Report Screens and Incident Management Report.
  • Announcement #029-12: Vender Fiscal/Employer Agent New Assisted Enrollment Process. The new process is available by calling 866-717-6251. It eliminates completion of enrollment forms by employers and employees.
  • The Works for Me Program is developing a Work Incentives Calendar for 2013 and looking for artwork from persons with disabilities to feature each month in the calendar.

A free webcast of interest is  April 26, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on “Providing Evidence Based Supported Employment.”  It is offered by SEDL’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service Models for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders project. The state's Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG) which focuses on helping individuals with disabilities obtain employment, is sponsoring "How Do I Connect with Employers." This free training featuring a supported employment presenter will address how to build business connections to help place individuals in jobs. The training is being offered in three locations across the state. Details are available at www.networksfortraining.org.
The MIG project also is offering online webcast modules to promote a basic understanding of work incentives for professionals who support youth and young adults in transition. Modules are available at www.WorksForMe-PA.org.
