IDD Updates
April 29, 2011

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has released the following information:

  • Announcement #053-11 (incorrectly released last week as #153-10 with the wrong title). Additional Recertification Class for Medication Administration being offered May 6, in Pittsburgh.
  • Announcement #054-11: ODP Budget Briefing Recording from April 21 conference call is available at http://winstreamer.tiu11.org/ODP_Budget_Briefing_20110421.wma.
  • Informational Packet #055-11: Preparations for the FY 2011/12 ISP Renewal Period: Action Required. 2010/11 service definitions found in ODP Bulletin #00-11-02 will be used to create 2011/12 renewal Individual Service Plans with some additional changes.
  • Alert #056-11: Claims Processing Delayed Temporarily for TSM (Code T1017) and SC Services (Code W7210). Claims generated by HCSIS on April 19 were not submitted to PROMISe’s April 22 financial processing cycle. ODP is working on resolution.
  • Announcement #057-11: Supports Coordination Orientation. New SCs are required to complete the SC Orientation.
  • Alert #058-11: To Support the Provider Monitoring Process. Direct service providers are asked to complete a brief survey by May 9 for ODP to collect contact information for the new monitoring process effective July 1. Training will be scheduled in coming months

June 6 – 8 ANCOR and the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals will host “Direct Support Professionals to DC.” The event includes direct support development, information, and networking with peers, and culminates with a “Rally for Community Living” and US Capitol Hill visits. The US Department of Health and Human Services held stakeholder listening sessions across the country last year addressing the Community Living Initiative. This was one component of the President’s “Year of Community Living,”  established in 2009 on the 10th anniversary of the Olmstead Decision. The Stakeholder Dialogues Summary Report provides an overview, recommendations, and concerns which include:

  • Coordination and Collaboration Among Agencies
  • Housing
  • Access to Services
  • Caregiver and Direct Support Workforce
