The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announces grants totaling $749 million are being disseminated across the country to fund housing for very low-income seniors and persons with disabilities. The funding is awarded under HUD Sections 202 and 811 Supportive Housing programs in 41 states. These grants were developed by the Frank Melville Supportive Housing Investment Act enacted early this year. Section 811 provides housing for very-low income individuals with a disability.
