ODP Waivers Amendments, Including Revenue Reconciliation, Approved by CMS
May 10, 2011

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) has received formal notification from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding approval of the Person/Family Directed Support Waiver and Consolidated Waiver revision requests for fiscal years 2009/10 and 2010/11. ODP Bulletins #00-11-04: Approved Consolidated Waiver and #00-11-05: Approved Person/Family Directed Support Waiver provided an overview of these amendments.

The approved amendments include information on rate setting methodology, clarification and updates to participant directed opportunities, revisions to the ODP Quality Management Strategy and performance measures for each waiver assurance area, updates to service definitions, and provider qualification criteria. The amendments to the Prospective Payment System to develop direct service and supports coordination provider rates includes the use of Revenue Reconciliation. Revenue Reconciliation is needed to financially assist providers with the payment system transition from program funding.

Bulletins, waiver amendments, and supporting cover letters from CMS are available from the links below. The waiver amendment documents are several hundred pages each. Any questions may be directed to your local ODP Regional Program Manager.
