ODP has announced training opportunities available in December 2019. The first is a webinar by Dr. Mark Salzer, Professor of the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Temple University, and the Principal Investigator and Director of the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion of Individuals with Psychiatric Disabilities. Dr. Salzer will discuss the critical role community inclusion plays in the health and overall well-being for people with disabilities and provide evidence underlying the importance of community inclusion and participation for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He will then introduce the fundamentals of promoting community inclusion required to make inclusion a reality.

The webinar is scheduled for Monday, December 9 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and will allow an opportunity for questions. Please use the MyODP posting location Life in the Community Like Everyone Else Course Posting to listen to the webinar recording if you are unable to participate. The recording will be available 48 hours after the webinar concludes.

Also in December, additional Supports Broker Certification Classes have been scheduled through Temple University’s Institute on Disabilities.
