ODP Virtual Office Hours

ODP Announcement 19-161 provides updates to the schedule of virtual trainings and virtual office hours during January 2020. This alignment of the training schedule for all ODP programs provides courses for supports coordination organizations and agencies, other service providers, and other professionals supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities.

The schedule includes:

  • Friday, January 3, 2020, 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: Open Dialogue on Technology for People with Disabilities
  • Tuesday, January 14, 2020, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Navigating the Complexities of Meaningful and Functional Communication
  • Thursday, January 16, 2020, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Lifecourse in Practice (for AAW and ACAP providers)
  • Tuesday, January 21, 2020, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm: AAW and ACAP Systematic Skill Building
  • Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm: HRST Orientation for Pennsylvania Supports Coordination Agencies
  • Friday, January 24, 2020, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm: Reinforcement Strategies
  • Thursday, January 30, 2020, 10:00 am – 11:30 am: AAW and Reserved Capacity
  • Friday, January 31, 2020, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Incident Management (for BSASP providers)

ODP Announcement 19-139 provides the schedule for virtual trainings and virtual office hours for November 2019. Pre-registration is required for each session you want to attend. Virtual Office Hours (VOH) are interactive dialogue opportunities to field questions related to a specific topic. They are real time conversations and are not recorded. Virtual Targeted Trainings (VTT) are lecture-style trainings that are recorded and posted. There may be time at the end for questions.

Topics this month include:

  • Administrative Entity Waiver Capacity Management;
  • Chapter 6100 Webinar for Professionals;
  • Getting the Most Out of an FBA: Using Other Data Collection/Sources;
  • Q&A on the Communication Specialist Service; and

ODP Announcement 19-125 lists the upcoming schedule of virtual targeted trainings (VTT) and virtual office hours (VOH) for October 2019. This alignment of the training schedule for all ODP programs provides courses for supports coordination organizations and agencies, other service providers, and other professionals supporting individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities.

This month’s offerings include OVR Referrals for ODP Employment Related Services and Data Collection for AAW/ACAP BSS and SSB. Please review the announcement for registration links and session information.

ODP Announcement 19-097 provides updates to the schedule of Virtual Targeted Trainings (VTT) and Virtual Office Hours (VOH). VOH will be held on August 1, discussing QA&I Self-Assessments, and August 7, to discuss Goal Attainment Scaling and Quarterly Progress Reporting for AAW and ACAP.

Virtual Targeted trainings are scheduled as follows:

  • August 14 – Implementing Behavioral Supports in AAW and ACAP
  • August 15 – Positive Behavior Support and Lifestyle Changes/Interventions (for all professionals in the field)
  • August 27 – Acknowledging Self-Determination in Supporting Participants (for all professionals)
  • August 29 – The Basics of Blindness and Visual Impairments (for all professionals)
  • August 30 – Tension Tips (for all professionals)

Virtual Targeted Training (VTT)

  • Traditional virtual training presented using a PowerPoint (lecture format)
  • Will be recorded and posted
  • Little to no opportunity to answer questions unless time permits at the end
