The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) School Safety and Mental Health Grant application is now open for 2026/27 funding. This non-competitive, formula-based funding opportunity provides grants to eligible school entities to support physical security enhancements, mental health improvements, or both – at the school entity’s discretion.
PCCD has updated their Baseline Criteria Standards to organize policy, programs, activities, equipment, and training with a multi-leveled approach, with Level 1 being the most basic elements a school entity should have in place and Level 3 being the most advanced elements. For both physical safety and mental health initiatives, all Level 1 Baseline Criteria must be satisfied prior to school entities utilizing these funds for other eligible program activities.
Applications are only accepted through PCCD’s Egrants system. The Egrant application deadline is October 16, 2026. Questions regarding the grant may be sent via email with “2026-27 School Safety & Mental Health Grants” in the subject line.
RCPA encourages its members to engage with local school entities for potential partnership and coordination for mental health funding availability. Contact Emma Sharp with any questions.
