As a follow-up to last week’s announcement from the PA Department of Human Services (DHS) regarding a new round of Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) funding, the Department has released an FAQ in advance of the grant opening.

You can review the FAQs prior to submitting an eligibility certification and attachments. The Department will begin accepting eligibility certifications at 8:00 am on Monday, July 27, 2026.

Please visit the RHTP Funding Opportunity web page to become familiar with the requirements and deadlines for this funding. Please also note that this payment is an initial funding opportunity. If you do not qualify for this RHTP payment, a future opportunity may be a better fit. Refer to the list of upcoming funding opportunities for a preview of what to expect this year.
