Crossing the Bridge From Clinician to Clinical Leader: How to Develop and Promote Leadership Skills in Clinical Staff
Thursday, September 3, 2026
2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT; 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm CDT;
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm MDT; 11:00 am – 12:00 pm PDT
Overview:
Healthcare leadership begins long before a title is assigned. As clinicians grow professionally, they often discover that the skills that made them successful in direct patient care are not always the same skills needed to lead teams, influence culture, and drive organizational impact. This session explores the progression from individual contributor to leader, highlighting the essential mindset changes and leadership competencies required. Participants will examine principles of influence, communication, psychological safety, and professional growth while identifying practical strategies to lead from where they are today and intentionally preparing for future leadership opportunities.
