Every year, the Department of Human Services (DHS) Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) conducts the Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS)® Survey.
This survey is sent to participants receiving HCBS through the Act 150 Program as well as the OBRA and the Community HealthChoices (CHC) Waiver Programs. The responses collected from HCBS participants assist OLTL with improving services. The HCBS CAHPS Survey will be conducted from August through October 2026 by the independent firm Qualtrics.
The University of Pittsburgh Medicaid Research Center (MRC) is working with OLTL to update incorrect, disconnected, or non-working phone numbers. This should increase response rates and provide an opportunity for all participants to share their views and opinions. In the coming weeks, you may be contacted by MRC to provide updated phone numbers for your Act 150, OBRA, or CHC participants.
Questions regarding this should be directed to Brian MacDaid.
