RCPA wishes to share with members a Federal and PA Rural Health Transformation Project Summary of the PA Rural Health Transformation Program.
This summary highlights the proposed initiatives PA will focus on, which involves six coordinated initiatives spanning technology/infrastructure, workforce, maternal health, behavioral health, aging, and EMS across all rural counties.
The PA Department of Human Services (DHS) will act as the “Health Hub” and handle statewide programs and contracts as well as serve as the liaison to CMS. Meanwhile, the Partnerships for Regional Economic Performance (PREP)-based Rural Care Collaborative (RCC) will lead regional implementation and prioritize strategies.
RCPA urges members to meet with their regional PREP-based RCC in order to explore opportunities for partnership.
