As a political stalemate over passage of Pennsylvania's state budget approaches its fourth month, the state's mental health provider community is growing increasingly concerned over potential long-term damage to safety-net services. 


Amid increasing warnings that some provider agencies will not survive a protracted delay in government payments for care, the budget impasse involving Gov. Josh Shapiro and the two houses of the state's General Assembly shows no tangible sign of a resolution.
