Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Regulations Go to IRRC: Open for Comment Until August 8
RCPA to Convene Work Group to Review

The proposal “Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services” was delivered to the Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC), the House Human Services Committee, and the Senate Health and Human Services Committee for review on June 23, 2022. A copy of the proposal, as it was delivered to those parties, can be found on IRRC’s website. This copy of the proposal includes the required Regulatory Analysis Form and copies of any forms referenced in the rulemaking. If IRRC has any comments on the proposal, those comments must be delivered to the Department by September 7, 2022; comments will be posted in the above link.

The proposal was published in the July 9 edition of the Pennsylvania Bulletin and opened for public comment. The proposal has a 30-day comment period that closes on August 8, 2022; instructions for submitting comments to the Department are located under the “Public Comment” heading.

RCPA will convene an interested group of providers to review the proposed regulations. Members are encouraged to also submit their own comments directly to the Department. Please contact RCPA Mental Health policy director Sarah Eyster if interested.
