Important Information

The information covered in this webinar series will be similar to the information covered in the 2023 OLTL spring and fall housing webinars (except for an added session on assistive technology). Since the information is similar, if you attended the 2023 housing webinars, you do not need to attend this series unless you wish to refresh your knowledge on the topic, participate in a session that you missed, or participate in the new assistive technology session.

This webinar series builds on information already provided in the Online Housing Training Modules and the Self-Determination Housing of Pennsylvania (SDHP)/Inglis’ Prepared Renter Program (PREP) curriculum.

The content in each webinar builds on prior content. Participants will get the most out of the series by taking all of the webinars.

To participate in the webinars, registration is available here.

Inglis’s Self-Determination Housing of PA (SDHP) 2024 Conference aims to further the SDHP’s mission of bridging the information gap between providers and connecting with others in the accessible housing community while continuing to advocate for the vulnerable populations we serve, specifically those with disabilities and seniors. The goal of the 2024 Conference is to bring together individuals to advance change and impact the way we support people in finding accessible housing solutions to gain independence and increase their quality of life.

The conference will take place June 11 and 12. The RFP will remain open until end of the day February 26. For more information, view the Request for Proposal announcement. You can also submit your proposals on Inglis’s website.

The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) wishes to share this survey on housing from PA Family Network to all families, caregivers, and individuals with disabilities.

They will be using the information gathered from this survey to build content for the program “Housing Myth Busting.” The program’s goal is to provide accurate information that shows people with disabilities and their families that there are viable options that provide choice and control outside of residential settings. You can take the survey here.

Living where you choose and with whom you choose is a basic human right, yet policies and practices are still in place that prevent people with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities from living in their own home. Secure, safe, and stable housing is vital to helping all people thrive, no matter their circumstances. By looking at the intersections of Housing, Disability, and the Medicaid Waiver System, we can promote awareness and education, ultimately expanding choice and control in housing for all people with Intellectual Disabilities.

This is part of a grant and is made possible by the PADDC Council.
