The meeting documents from the January 3, 2024, Managed Long-Term Services and Supports (MLTSS) Subcommittee meeting are now available below and include the agenda and PowerPoint presentations.

Today’s MLTSS Subcommittee meeting was the final meeting. The MLTSS Subcommittee will merge with the Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Subcommittee beginning in February. The first merged meeting is scheduled for February 1, 2024. Additional information about that meeting will be forthcoming.

The next MLTSS Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for November 1, 2023, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm in the PA Department of Education’s Honors Suite at 333 Market St. in Harrisburg, PA. RCPA has received notification from PA Health & Wellness (PHW) regarding an update to the prior authorization process for Residential and Structured Day Habilitation services. The updates included in the notice are effective starting August 1, 2023.

Questions regarding this update should be directed to PHW’s Provider Services at 844-626-6813 or to Provider Relations via email.

On January 24, the Office of Long-Term Living (OLTL) sent an email to Community HealthChoices (CHC) providers stating “All OLTL Direct Service Providers will now submit critical incidents into EIM for participants enrolled in CHC.” Pennsylvania Health and Wellness is offering two webinars on March 28 to train providers on using the system.

The webinar will cover:

  • Critical Incident Reporting Requirements
  • Definition of Critical Incidents
  • How to obtain access to EIM
  • EIM System Training

If an agency has previously attended this training provided by UPMC or AmeriHealth Caritas, it is not necessary to attend this session.

RCPA is partnering with PA Health & Wellness to provide a free webinar on contracting overview and training. We are preparing to ensure continued access of care for participants of the Community HealthChoices program. This webinar will review the PA Health & Wellness contract and the process to become a partner in their network.
