Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week September 11–17, 2022
Governor Tom Wolf has signed an official proclamation dedicating the week of September 11 through September 17, 2022, as Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week. The proclamation, available to read here, recognizes the vital contributions DSPs provide to address the physical and mental health of individuals with disabilities as well as veterans and senior citizens. Furthermore, the Governor recognizes the immense care it takes for DSPs to develop close, respectful, and trusted relationships with those they support.

Your celebrations of the DSPs at the heart of our field are part of a nationwide party we throw every year to showcase the amazing and often unsung work of these incredible professionals, and mark just a small fraction of the recognition that they deserve throughout the year.
Please make sure you’re using #DSPRW2021 and tagging @TheRealANCOR on Facebook and Twitter so we can see and share your celebrations! Also, you can send photos and descriptions of celebrations to André Floyd so that they can be shared on our social media channels directly and highlighted in next Friday’s Weekly Update.
